If you have curly or even wavy hair you are probably well aware of what can happen in humid weather. There is nothing worse than taking the time required to get your hair looking nice, making sure that every single strand is in place and walking out the door and having it go poof. Luckily, there are different things that you can do to get humid free hair.

One option that works really well for medium to coarse curly hair that is textured is to use a combination of a frizz control product and some texture paste. If you mix these two products together you will get a paste that is of medium consistency, which will help hold the style but also control the frizz. To use this stuff you want to evenly distribute the product through your hair with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb.

If you have fine hair or if you suffer from sagging curls your best option is to use a curl cream along with the styling cream. Using the two products together is going to give your curl a base so it has a better hold, but at the same time will give your curls some volume and support so they won’t fall apart the minute you walk outside.

Something else that you can do to get humid free hair is to use a diffuser or let your hair air dry. Allowing your hair to dry naturally is the best option because it allows your hair to dry softer, which helps prevent the poof in the humid weather. If you must dry it with a blow dryer make sure you use a diffuser with the blow dryer because the diffuser allows your hair to dry softer than with a regular dryer. The reason for this is that the diffuser distributes the airflow evenly rather than straight on as the blow dryer does, just make sure you avoid touching your hair directly with the diffuser.
