The different types of massages are done for different reasons. Many would find and have a massage so that they will be relaxed and that they will be able to sleep. Some would want to have a massage so that their pain will be relieved, and to remove stress and tension as well. It will all depend on why the person would want to have a massage.

The first type among the different types of massages is the Balinese massage. This massage uses a technique that is gentle and relaxes the person. Stroking techniques, kneading, and skin rolling are the methods used in this type of massage. They use aroma oil while massaging so that oxygen and blood flow will increase throughout the whole body. Shiatsu is another type of massage that started from the eastern part of the globe and was developed by Suzuki Yamamoto. It uses mainly the hands, generally all parts of the hands from the thumbs to the palms. Next is the Acupressure, which is similar to Shiatsu. This is a traditional Chinese method related to acupuncture because it uses the acupuncture points in massaging. The fourth type is Champissage which focuses on the face, head, and neck, and this was developed by the Indians. But this massage is not that common since some spas or massage parlor does not offer this type of massage. A very unique type of massage is the stone massage that is very self explanatory since it uses stones to massage a person. And the last type of massage is the Hoffman which is a very complex type of massage since it involves the whole body system. These are the different types of massages that anybody can try and enjoy.
