Cornrows for little girls are probably one of the best hairstyles because it keeps their hair out of their face, but it also looks really cute. One of the things about cornrows is that you can do so many different things with the cornrows, such as ponytails or pigtails, but they all start with the basic cornrow.

To do cornrows you are going to want to make sure that you have the required materials before you start. This is important because once you have started braiding you do not want to let go and leave the room because you will have to go back and braid the hair all over again. Having everything at your fingertips makes the process go smoother. The basic items that you will need are a brush, small rubber bands, hairspray, or mousse and spray on conditioner.

To begin the cornrows you are going to want to part the hair in the middle, you can also do an off center part if you want to be a bit different. The part is important because it gives you the starting point for the cornrows. After you have parted the hair you will want to brush one side of the part until there are no knots left in the hair. If using a spray on conditioner do not overly wet the hair because it can cause frizzing later on.

Once everything is brushed you will want to separate a small section of hair from the rest of the hair. How big of a section you select depends on how small or large you want the cornrows to be. You want to start with the hair closest to the part, but also closest to your forehead. To make the cornrows you simply need to braid the hair all the way down and secure it with a small rubber hair band. Once you have done all of the hair on this side of the part you need to repeat the process on the other side.

With the cornrows you can either attach it to their head all the way down or you can simply attach it to the top. Attaching it to the top allows you to create more hairstyles than attaching the cornrows all the way down.
